Trip Sixteen

Swedish Rock Band

Trip Sixteen was a hard-hitting rock band from southern Sweden active between 2016 and 2018. The lineup featured Axel on lead vocals, Kim on bass, Tobias on guitar, and Johan on drums. Together they built a reputation for delivering raw, energetic live performances across Scania, leaving their mark on the local rock scene.

In 2017, the band recorded their debut EP Blood Sweat & Tears, produced by Jonte at Bernhard Production. The record featured the tracks Trip Sixteen, Day and Night, and Now We’re Here—the latter co-written and performed with Jonte himself. The EP showcased the band’s signature blend of melodic hooks and driving rock rhythms, earning them recognition among both fans and peers.

Trip Sixteen played stages across the region, from intimate clubs to larger venues, and competed in two of Sweden’s most prominent band contests: Emergenza at Babel in Malmö and Popcorn at The Tivoli in Helsingborg. They also brought their sound to the airwaves with a live performance on Radio P4 Helsingborg, further cementing their presence in the local music scene.

Though their journey was brief, Trip Sixteen embodied the spirit of dedication, passion, and grit that their name suggested—leaving behind a powerful legacy of blood, sweat, and tears.
