Every song, every performance, every frame of film has been a step along my path — a path that began long before I called myself Axel V King.
From the first raw recordings with my early bands, chasing that electric feeling of creating something from nothing… to joining the Copenhagen-based, Mermaid Records–signed band Lucy in the Sky, where the dream started to feel real under the bright lights of the industry.
The road also led me into the warm, storytelling world of contemporary folk with Wilja, where music became as much about connection as performance. And then came the magic of standing under stage lights in Santa Barbara, stepping into the short film Luscious Joe and feeling the camera catch moments that would live forever.
Over the years I’ve fronted bands of many sounds and sizes, each one shaping the artist I am now. Today, I stand in two worlds I love — bringing fiery Cuban rhythms to life with JL Son de Armonía and telling my own stories as a solo artist.
