Brothers of March

Brothers of March was born out of friendship, creativity, and a shared passion for music. The band came together at Santa Barbara City College between 2011–2013, where songwriting classes with John Clarke and acting courses brought the founding members into each other’s orbit.

The lineup featured a diverse mix of voices and backgrounds:

Zephan McIntyre-Bader – singer, songwriter, guitarist (San Francisco)

Alex Lebron Torrent – singer, songwriter, guitarist (born in Colombia, raised in Sweden and Spain)

Axel V King – singer, songwriter, guitarist (Sweden, Scandinavia)

Justin Ezor – drummer, percussionist (Los Angeles)

Max Brinster – guitarist (Alaska), who joined during the band’s final year

Together, the group blended their influences into a sound that was both soulful and energetic, carrying echoes of rock, folk, blues, and world music. Their songs were shaped not only by their cultural diversity but also by the deep friendships they built in Santa Barbara.

The band played live and wrote music across California, with Santa Barbara as their home base and stage for most of their gigs. Their journey was captured through the lens of talented photographers and videographers Morten Opedal and Øystein Grønvold.

Though their time together as Brothers of March was brief, the band’s legacy lives on in the memories of their shows, their recordings, and the brotherhood that defined their name.
